Barbara A. Paglia, Ph.D., Psychologist

My professional goal is to empower individuals and families to achieve their therapeutic goals in an atmosphere of empathy, safety, and understanding.

I began the private practice, Psychological Counseling and Consulting Services, in 1992. I am licensed as a psychologist in Pennsylvania and have been practicing for over 25 years. 

I have done extensive research in the areas of trauma and child sexual abuse, and received my Ph.D. in Psychology from Northcentral University. I received my M.A. degree from Slippery Rock University in Counseling Psychology. 

I specialize with trauma, child abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, and psychological assessments. I'm a member of the American Psychological Association and the Pennsylvania Psychological Association.

I have trained in a number of therapeutic modalities of Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Family Therapy, which I have integrated into my counseling and psychological practice.

My professional and personal background has provided me with a vast amount of experience that has prepared me to work with clients of varying ages with a variety of difficulties such as:

Kera R. Recce, Psy.D., NCSP, LBS
PA Licensed Psychologist & PA Certified School Psychologist


Dr. Recce completed her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology at Penn State University. She went on to earn her Master’s in Child Psychology and Doctorate in School Psychology at Duquesne University. She has previously worked in educational settings including school districts, private schools, residential treatment facilities, and county-based educational service centers in Pennsylvania and Ohio as a school psychologist. Dr. Recce completed her post-doctoral fellowship in a community mental health setting and has previous experience providing site- and community-based mental health services through the former BHRS model. Dr. Recce is well-versed in special education law and identification of educational disabilities.
Psychological testing for children ages 18 months – 21 years for the following referral concerns:
•    Autism (including ADOS-2 administration)

Shannon Limerick-Gnas, M.A., Psychologist

My name is Shannon Limerick-Gnas and I am a masters’ level Licensed Psychologist. I have over 30 years of clinical experience with adults, teens, children and families, with significant employment and experience as a therapist on an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, Adult Partial Hospital Program, Adult Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, Private Practice and as a BHRS Independent Prescriber.  I provide individual, family, parent/child, and group psychotherapy.

I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Slippery Rock University with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology.  I worked under the supervision of a psychologist for 4 years until I became a licensed psychologist. 

I specialize in trauma informed care and am a certified EMDR practitioner.  I also have been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the developers of that therapy.   I attended the Behavior Therapy Training Institute in Boston, MA to learn Exposure/Response Prevention for OCD and have other training in Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Ego State and Dissociation, Creative Arts Therapy, and Developmental Complex Trauma. 

I always teach relaxation training and guided imagery before any intense therapy and always before intensive trauma treatment.  I focus on resource development and safety which helps clients tolerate distress and develop coping and self management skills. I also regularly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  I regularly attend continuing education and special conferences and workshops to update and sharpen my clinical skills. 

Due to the variety of training I have received, I use an eclectic trauma informed approach which allows me to assist my clients in selecting the best treatment for their individual needs and goals.  
I am currently learning a new trauma treatment called Progressive Counting, which I feel will be very helpful to my clients.  I am a contractor at Psychological Counseling and Consulting Services in Hermitage, PA where I conduct Behavioral Health and Rehabilitative Services evaluations for children, and have my own private practice in Beaver, PA.

 Elizabeth Dague, M.A.

My name is Elizabeth Dague and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.  I received my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University in Washington, D.C. in 2003.  I have clinical experience working in the mental health field for over 15 years as well as ongoing clinical training in many areas related to treating the specific needs of my clients.  My modalities include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy. 

I have provided individual, family, and group therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults in forensic settings, residential facilities, schools, private practice, homes, and community settings.  I have over 8 years of experience conducting Behavioral Health and Rehabilitative Services (BHRS) evaluations for children and adolescents. 

I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for clients to process their concerns and work toward meeting their individual treatment goals.

    I graduated from Mercer High School and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Slippery Rock University. I then continued my education at Youngstown State University where I earned my Master of Science degree in Community Counseling. I am licensed in the state of Pennsylvania as a Professional Counselor and I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor. 

    I grew up here and raised my children in Mercer County, which has provided me with a strong sense of commitment to the people of this area and enhanced my desire to work with and help them. I have much experience working with various counseling agencies throughout Mercer County and surrounding counties. I provide outpatient psychotherapy to people of all ages.

    Gloria Schweitzer, M.S.

    My name is Gloria Schweitzer and I am a licensed professional counselor who has provided therapeutic services over the past 10 years in the following settings: A Community Treatment Team; Family Outpatient Services; Art Therapy at a Fine Arts Institution; and an Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Residential Treatment Facility.

    I provide therapy to children, adolescents, adults and their families, helping them with anxiety and depression disorders, substance abuse, trauma, stress, and anger management.
